Johannes "Joe" de Jongh., age 91, of Alvin, Texas passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. Joe was born July 17, 1932 in Bussum, Netherlands. He served in the Dutch Military and immigrated to the United States in 1956. Joe was a resident of Alvin since 1965. He retired from Monsanto Chocolate Bayou with 27 years of service in operations and I&E. In retirement Joe worked at Hillcrest golf course where he enjoyed interacting with new people. He enjoyed family get togethers.  Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelis "Job" and Cornelie de Jongh; sister, Muis Groenewegen; brother, Jan de Jongh.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Vada de Jongh; daughter, Rachel Collins and husband Patrick; son, Joe de Jongh and wife Julie; grandson, Jacob de Jongh and fiancé Desiree; sister, Truuis VanDingstee and husband Hans; brother in law, Willie Groenewegen; sister in law, Joy de Jongh; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home with a Memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM.
