It is with great sorrow that he family of JoAnn Follis, age 65, of Pearland, Texas announces her passing.  After a long battle with Alzheimer's, JoAnn passed peacefully in Brookdale Memory care Facility on July 24, 2022.  She was a loving daughter to Floyd George Whitehouse, Jr. and Allie Elaine Whitehouse Shry, and a caring mother to Misty Paden and Hayden Follis.  She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd George Whitehouse, Jr. and survived by her children, Misty Paden and husband Justin; son, Hayden Follis; mother Allie Elaine Whitehouse Shry; sisters, Carol Whitehouse Bruno, Vivian Whitehouse and Lisa Theiler; brothers, Floyd George Whitehouse, III, Darrell Whitehouse and David Whitehouse; grandchildren, Jase, Jagger and Addison Paden.  JoAnn also leaves behind a legacy of true and devoted friendships and numerous caring relatives.

JoAnn was born February 9, 1957 in Houston, Texas and was a longtime resident of Pearland, Texas and a proud graduate of Pearland High School.  She was very devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston, Texas.  JoAnn was meticulous and hard working and maintained a 30 plus year career as an accountant for the same company.  On a personal level, JoAnn loved so many things in life! Things near and dear to her heart were her pets, cruises, crafting, sewing, hiking, the beach, but most important were her children, family and friends.  She was a talented crafter and seamstress whose penchant for detail was exemplary of her patience and tolerance with the uncertainties of life.  Being the middle child of seven, these character traits served her well. Because of her loving and giving nature, her family and friends we blessed with many holiday gatherings, birthdays, and parties she hosted.  Her home was a welcoming place for all.

Most important to JoAnn's legacy are the close and loyal friendships she made throughout her life and the unconditional love she had for her children.  This was evidenced by the moral and cultural values she gave them every day in her commitment of making a better future for them.  JoAnn's kind spirit and zest for life will live on through her children, grandchildren, and so many others whose lives she touched.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 11011 Hall Road, Houston, Texas, 77089.  The Memorial reception will be to follow in the reception hall.  Flowers may be delivered to St. Luke's on Friday July 29 ^th between the hours of 9-11am.
