Jerry Clifford Stapp known to all as Buddy was born February 3, 1954 at Mainland Center Hospital in LaMarque, Texas passed away May 12, 2022 in the same hospital.

Buddy was proceeded in death by his loving parents Alma and Ed McGee.  Daughter, Alma Jane Stapp, sons Truman Franklin Garcia, Marcus James Stapp, Edwin Earl Stapp and Jerry Clifford Stapp II.

He is survived by his son Chad Stapp of Algoa, Sisters Tammy Pennington and husband Terry, of Alvin, Joni Caviness and husband Roger of Mt. Enterprise and Mickey Stapp of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Daughters in law Lori Garcia and Carmen Carrillo.

His Grandchildren William Garcia, Carrissa Garcia and husband Johnathan Gomez, Kristen Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Jerry Stapp III and wife Karina, Marcus Stapp and wife Cecelia, Angel Stapp and Hadly Stapp.

Great Grandchildren are Victor Gomez, Selena Gomez, Miguel Jaramillo, Aylin Stapp and our precious Adriel Stapp who arrived after Grandpa passed.

Buddy proudly served in the United States Army during the time of the Vietnam War and was honorably released from active duty in 1977.

A memorial service will be held at the place where he was baptized as a child, First Baptist Church of Algoa on Sunday May 22, 2022 at 4pm.
