James Earl Tarr, age 80 of Manvel, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Vitas Hospice Facility in the Woodlands, Texas.  Jim was born July 31, 1943 in Springfield, Missouri and was a resident of Manvel since 2005 formerly of Houston, Texas. He owned and operated Anchor's Seafood Market in Pearland, Texas and worked for 25 years for the City of Houston in the Public Works Division. Jim served his country in the United States Army and was a proud member of Southview Baptist Church in Rosharon, Texas. He loved to travel internationally, was a licensed pilot and loved to fly whenever he had the opportunity. Jim will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Virginia Tarr; step sons, Jason Bedwell and Ricky Bedwell.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lynda Tarr; daughters, Michelle Willis and Tana Wilburn; step sons, Steven Bedwell and David Bedwell; sister in law and brother in law, Pam and Charles Foster; 9 grandchildren; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Southview Baptist Church (23003 South Hwy. 288 Rosharon, Texas 77583) with Funeral services beginning at 10:30 AM.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
