James "Jim" Stevens, age 76 of Alvin, Texas passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Jim was born on March 4, 1947, in Graham, Texas. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel of Houston and was a Member of the Odessa and Alvin Texas Masonic Lodges. Affectionately known as "Boss Jim" he worked and retired as an operator/shift foreman at Amoco/BP Chemicals. Jim is preceded in death by his, beloved wife of 54 years, Patricia Stevens; parents, Lorene and John Stevens; stepmother Marie Stevens, and brother, Bill Stevens.

Jim was an avid gardener, woodworker and loved hunting and fishing, but if you were to ask him what he loved the most - it was his role as "Papa." He deeply loved spending time with his Haley girl & Tylor boy, whether spring breaks camping at Lake Texana, attending dances, plays, soccer games, playing cards, or his simple weekly dinners with them as they got older, this role brought him great joy.

Jim is survived by his, brother John Stevens and wife Jane; daughter, Lori Davis and husband Robbie; sons, James Stevens Jr. and husband Rafa; Jason Stevens; two grandchildren, Haley Stevens and Tylor Davis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
