James Darren Scott, age 61 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024 at UTMB Hospital in Clear Lake, Texas.  James was born September 19, 1962 in Raceland, Louisiana and was a resident of Alvin for the last 10 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and spent many years in the transportation business driving a truck. James is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Eugene Scott; mother, Mattie Scott; sister, Debra Watts; brother, Kenneth Edward Scott.

James is survived by his wife of 8 years, Laura Scott; son, Derrick Scott and wife Leslie; daughters, Jamie Dawood and husband Abdul, Tera Devoll and husband Michael, Heather Harwell and husband Michael; step sons, Matthew Pafford, Bryant Pafford, Scott Cook and wife Kiersten; step daughters, Amber Rains and Destiny Farrar; sisters, Terri Coleman and Kimberly Ann Entrican; brothers, Shaun Stacey and Michael Scott; half brother, Kenneth Scott; half sisters, Angela Billiot and Sharon Bergeron; along with numerous grandchildren and extended family and friends.
