Jalinda Ann Hooper, age 65 of Rosharon, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022.  Jalinda was born on January 15, 1957 in Tacoma, Washington and got to Texas as fast as she could!  Jalinda was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Jane Roth and John Page.

Jalinda is survived by her husband, Rodney Porter; sons, William Hooper and wife Lucy, Robert Hooper and wife Melanie; daughter, Tammi Goodell and husband Chris; sister, Cynthia Blair; brother, John Page and wife Debra.  The joys of her life were her five grandchildren, Zoey, Oliver, William, Samuel, and Charli.

Jalinda spent most of her adult life dedicated to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a part of various committees.  She became a Lifetime Committeeman in 2017. She and her husband, Rodney, enjoyed raising scholarship funds through many events, functions and, auctions.  They made close, lifelong friends doing what they loved most, supporting education and Texas youth.

Jalinda never met a stranger and treated everyone with love, joy, and care.  Her infectious smile, laugher, and endless outpouring of love will be missed tremendously.

A memorial visitation and reception will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at The Venue on Sealy, 225 W Sealy St, Alvin TX 77511.
