Irma Linda Orozco, age 71 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025.  Linda was born to Desiderio and Juanita Orozco on February 13, 1954, in Alvin, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Alvin.

Linda was employed by Harris County until she retired in 2006. During her twenty four year career, she worked in Adult Probation where she believed everyone deserved respect. Linda enjoyed spending time with her children, Brandi and Chris, her grandchildren, as well as other family members and close friends. She enjoyed cleaning her house and her vehicles, mowing her lawn, playing card games, making others laugh, watching cable news, and sitting outside, keeping a close eye on her old neighborhood. Linda loved her grandchildren. There is nothing she would not do for them. She was a thoughtful gift giver, especially on birthdays. She would wrap gifts so beautifully and made sure there was always a perfect bow on top. She always made you feel special on your special day.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Desiderio and Juanita Orozco and sisters Peggy Zamarripa and Janie Villarreal.

Linda is survived by her daughter Brandi Thonsgard and husband Russell; son Chris Orozco and wife Daniela; sisters Dee Lucas and husband Victor, and Mary Gibson; grandchildren Lili Hernandez, Turtle Orozco, Evan Orozco, Brooklyn Thonsgard, and Kasen Thonsgard.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Zamarripa, Shawn Garcia, Ryan Garcia, Brendan Orozco, Christopher Orozco, and Elias Hernandez.

A visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 6, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
