Ida Lou Escott, age 65 of Fresno, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Houston Methodist Sugarland Hospital in Sugarland, Texas.  Ida was born April 17, 1957 in Prosser, Washington and was a longtime resident of Fresno. She worked many years in the retail industry and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel, Texas. Ida is preceded in death by her father, Louis Salazar; sister, Mary Salazar; brother, Jesse Salazar.

Ida is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jose Escott; daughters, Viki Escott, Bertha Adame and husband Gilbert Adame, Crystal Escott and Jessica Escott; mother, Eulalia Rubalcava; sister, Julie Salazar; brothers, Rudy Salazar, Ismael Salazar and Robert Louis Salazar; grandchildren, Mya Adame, Moses Adame and Mason Adame; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Ida Escott devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister lived with fortitude, grace, and the love of her faith. As a young girl she worked to provide a good life and help care for her siblings, when her father passed away. Ida loved to make them laugh, sing, and dance. In 1979 Ida gave her heart to Jose Escott and happily together made a family of four beautiful and loving daughters. She showed her wisdom, creativity, faith and most of all her love to everyone in life.  She welcomed  you with open arms and no judgment. She showed compassion for all animals, especially her fur babies. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting, dancing, baking,cooking, gardening and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She led her family to live in a direct path with God while leaving behind beautiful endless memories and pieces of her loving heart.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel, Texas.
