Hortencia Crenshaw, age 72 of Alvin, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. Hortencia was born April 30, 1950 in Pleak, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for the last 5 years formerly of Dallas, Texas. Some of her favorite pastimes included; raising flowers, cruising, antiquing, visiting garage and estate sales along with attending many family gatherings. Hortencia is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Esperanza Escobar; sister, Lydia Brogdon.

Hortencia is survived by her husband, Larry D. Crenshaw Sr.; children, Jaime Crenshaw and Laura Crenshaw; step children, Larry Crenshaw Jr. and Greg Crenshaw; brothers, Joe Escobar, Daniel Escobar and Steven Escobar; sisters, Hope Trevino, Terry Saldana, Susie Rojas, Suzanne Cruz, Lisa Alviso and Andrea Montoya; grandchildren, Corey Crenshaw, Jessica Crenshaw, Cayla Cummins, Cara Blair, Damon Crenshaw and Trace Crenshaw; great grandchildren, Emmitt Crenshaw, Charley Crenshaw, Walker Crenshaw, Trinity Crenshaw, Callan Cummins, Clarke Blair and Grey Crenshaw; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home. A reception will be held in Hortencia's honor immediately following the service at the Big Red House 310 CR 129 Alvin, Texas 77511. All parking is in the rear of the facility.
