Hollis Rhodes Berry passed away May 26th at his home in Alvin just weeks before his 91st birthday. He was born on June 20, 1931 to parents Rhodes and Novella Berry in Rusk, Texas but was a longtime resident of Alvin. He met his loving wife Patricia in 1971 and would have been married 50 years in December. He proudly served in the Navy and Marines and was a member of the Pipefitters Local 211. He loved hunting, fishing, sipping coffee with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He would play his harmonica and tell them stories about the many things he'd done in his life. Hollis is proceeded in death by his parents Rhodes and Novella Berry, sister Mary Juanita Brown, brother Wayne Berry and stepson John Patton, Jr. He is survived by his wife Patricia, children Kevin (Moni) Berry, Linda "Christy" Berry, LeeAnn (Cristian) Soto, stepdaughter April Nichols, grandchildren Trinity Patton, Victoria, Valerie, Oliver, Evelyn and Natalie Soto. He is also survived by his brother Gene (Debbie) Berry of Houston, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.
