Herman Garza, Jr., age 76 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Herman was born on September 13, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas and was a resident of Alvin, Texas for most of his life.  He was a scaffold builder, truck driver and was Catholic by faith.  Herman was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Garza, parents, Herman and Simona Garza, grandchild, L.J. Garza, great grandchild, Jaxon Hernandez.

Herman is survived by his daughters, Janie Rodriguez and husband Mario, Monica Deleon and husband John, Letty Alaniz and husband Leo, Eva Garza, Talita Oliveros and husband Rigo, sons, John Garcia and wife Mary, Herman Garza, III, and wife Anabel, Andy Garza and wife Danica, sisters, Herlinda Garza and husband Richard, Alicia Garza, brother, Hernan Garza and wife Chata, 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
