Linda Meza, age 87 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Linda was born on December 24, 1935, in Jourdanton, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin.  She worked for many years at Summer's grocery and retired from Alvin I.S.D food service. Linda was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Meza, Jr., son, John Meza, parents, Dolorez and Macedonio Guzman, brothers, Raymond Guzman and Lupe Guzman.

Linda is survived by her sons, Rick Meza and wife Beatrice, Robert Meza and wife Tina, sisters, Helen Garza, Mary Ramirez, brother, Edward Guzman, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin. Interment will follow in the City of Alvin Oak Park Cemetery.
