Helen Rose Banks was 91 years old when she went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister who will be missed by all who knew her.

Born and raised in Bivins, Texas, Helen became a believer in Christ at the age of eleven and was baptized in the Walker Pond. Helen met and married Eugene Banks in 1952 in Texarkana, Texas. Together they had six children, and made the Alvin area their home for over sixty years. Helen was a homemaker, and she enjoyed time with her family. Her love for children was apparent to all who knew her. At the time of her death, she was a member of Skyview Baptist Church, and enjoyed studying God's Word.

For many years, Helen and her family were members of Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church. This is where her children grew up, and it held a special place in her heart. She expressed many precious memories of Vacation Bible School, church dinners, weddings, and funerals.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Banks; daughter Gail Dickinson; grandson Robert Carney; parents, Leona and Estel Endsley; brothers, L.E. Endsley and Harold (Helen's twin, better known as Dick) Endsley; sister Joyce Jackson; and daughter-in-law Sally Banks.

Helen is survived by her daughters Barbara Carlisle and husband Michael, Cathy Nance and husband Gregg, Betty Herndon and husband Paul; and by her sons, Mark Banks and wife Jody, and James Banks; sister, Mary Ann Reece; brothers Tom Endsley and wife Janice, Loyd Endsley and wife Jo; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at Oak Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Building Fund at Skyview Baptist Church, 770 N Shirley Street, Alvin, TX 77511.
