Helen Abschneider, age 98 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026 at Serenity Gardens in Friendswood, Tx.  Helen was born on March 2, 1928 in East Bernard, Texas and was a resident of Alvin, Texas for over 70 years.  She was a homemaker and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Abschneider of 74 years, parents, Leo and Agnes Jurek, 3 sisters and 8 brothers.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Barbara Williams and husband James, Debra Vasek and husband Gary, 3 grandchildren, Brian Williams and wife Laura, Jason Williams, Aric Vasek and wife Stella, 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nichol, Trey, Kailee, Trent, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas from 5:00 PM –7:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 26, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Brian Williams, Jason Williams, Tyler Williams, Trey Williams, Trent Williams, Robert Williams, Honorary pallbearers, Vernon Abschneider, Glenn Ackley.
