It is with deepest sorrow we announce that Hayden Michael Mattox-Kazmouz (Hay Hay) age 23 our beloved son, brother, grandson, family member, and friend passed away suddenly on July 2, 2022.

Born September 21, 1998, in Katy, Texas Hayden was a social butterfly. He loved being around people, making people smile, and would always lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Hayden loved 80's music, the Golden Girls, Marilyn Monroe, Color Guard, dancing, and animals. He adored his family and best friend Ivan Ramirez. Hayden was Homecoming Prince at Alvin High School his freshman, sophomore, and junior year. He moved back to his Nanni's the summer of his senior year and again in Color Guard, (his heart) where he graduated from James E. Taylor High School in Katy, Texas June 3, 2017.

Those who knew Hayden, lost a shining light in their lives. In his Nanni's words, "from the moment I witnessed him being born, when he took his first breath, Hayden was my sunshine, my strength, my way of light, my happy place."

Hayden will be missed everyday by his Dad, Michael Kazmouz, his Mom, Gina Kazmouz, his Sister, MiKayla Kazmouz, his Grandparents, Bud and Fay Mead, his Nanni, Sherri Mattox, his Uncle Will and Aunt Amanda, Uncle Randy and Aunt Shelly, cousin Alexis, and many other cousins and family members, and countless friends.

Son, where there was happiness, now there is sadness. Son, how I wish I could hear your voice and see your beautiful smile and have you back for just a little while. Son, I have so many memories that I will cherish and keep in my heart. We shared a bond that time can never break apart. Son, until we meet again, I will look among the stars for you… my best friend.

Hayden was a kindhearted, loving, silly young man, who loved sunflowers and the beach. Life will never exist how we knew it. As he left us far too soon. A public memorial will be held at Scott Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Visitation is from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment followed immediately after the services at Confederate Cemetery.
