Gynell Jordan Jaqua, affectionally known as GiGi, embodied a vibrant and adventurous spirit that was evident in every facet of her life. Her boundless energy and zest for life made her a constant enthusiast for every journey, whether big or small. To GiGi, every excursion was an adventure waiting to unfold, and she embraced it wholeheartedly.

Her love for movement and exploration was evident in her passion for riding her bicycle and engaging in heartwarming conversations with neighbors along the way. GiGi's heart overflowed with love for her beloved pets, Migo and Rico, and she took it upon herself to make their days brighter by being their official provider of daily doggy snacks.

However, amidst all her adventures, there was one cherished ritual that held a special place in GiGi's heart – the captivating beauty of Texas sunsets witnessed from her cherished porch swing. Those serene moments, watching the sky painted with vibrant hues, brought her unparalleled joy.

In her professional career spanning over three decades at Shell Oil, GiGi wasn't just an accountant; she was the nurturing and caring "mom" figure within her accounting group. Her compassion, guidance, and warmth endeared her to colleagues, earning her the title of "mom" as she looked after and supported her coworkers in both professional and personal capacities.

GiGi is preceded in death by her parents Harold, and Ruby Jordan and her great grandson Braiden Jace Anderson. GiGi is survived by her sister, Claudine Richers, children Tyrena Polensky Haughey and her husband Stephen and Chad Polensky and his wife Patti. Grandchildren Crystal Wright, Michelle Mendez, Kinsey Aaron, and Alexis Haughey. Great-Grandchildren, Carli Daffern and Patrick Polensky and numerous other family and friends.

GiGi's life was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of adventure. Her infectious enthusiasm, kindness, and unwavering zest for life have left an irreplaceable mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dearest GiGi, knowing that your spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories you've gifted us.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2024 with a funeral service starting at 4:00 PM.
