Guillermina Rivera, age 74 of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, June 3, 2026. Guillermina was born October 5, 1951 in Ciudad Miguel Aleman Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long time resident of Alvin, TX since 1973. A woman of many gifts and talents that loved to volunteer her time helping others. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, cake decorating, gardening, and harvesting monarch butterflies. Guillermina loved taking care of others and always did so with loving kindness. Guillermina is preceded in death by her parents Reynaldo and Adamina Benavides; brothers Reynaldo Benavides and Agustin Benavides.

Guillermina is survived by her husband Eulogio Rivera; daughter Patricia Banda and husband Martin Jr.; son Jorge Rivera and wife Alexandria; siblings Guadalupe Benavides; Maricela Perez, Martha Simons, Silvia Rodriguez, Reynaldo Benavides Jr., Joel Benavides and Roberto Benavides; grandchildren Martin III, Monica and husband Eduardo, Marc, Magdalena, Jacob, Sabrina, and Niko; great-grandchildren Sophia and Ophelia, as well as numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be at Scott Funeral Home Friday, June 12, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM. Interment to be held at Angleton Cemetery following the services.
