Graciela Vega-Gonzalez De Ortiz, age 83 of Alvin, Texas, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. Graciela was born December 19, 1942 in La Ladera, Michoacan, Mexico and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and will deeply missed by her family and friends. Graciela is preceded in death by her husband, Audifas Ortiz; parents, Bartolo and Delfina Vega; sister, Amelia Vega; brothers, Alfredo Vega and Pedro Vega.

Graciela is survived by her daughters, Marta Ortiz, Maria Ventura Ortiz, Maria Carmen Ortiz and Delfina Ortiz; sons, Jose C. Ortiz and Jose S. Ortiz; along with twenty grandchildren and extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin with interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
