George Frank "Skipper" Franzen, passed away peacefully at his home in Liverpool, Texas, on April 24, 2024 at the age of 85. George attended grade school in Liverpool and Alvin High School, where he lettered in football and made all district at tackle. George graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1963.

George was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Claudine Franzen. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his Brother Terrell Franzen and wife Martha, and Sister Judy Haynes and husband Elbert. He is also survived by Nephew Darrin Haynes and Niece Shelli Follmar and husband Joel, Great niece Averee Follmar and great nephew Leyton Follmar.

George will be laid to rest on Tuesday April 30, 2024 at 10.00 AM at South Park Cemetery with a graveside service in Pearland, with Deacon Allen Stanton officiating.
