Curtis Eugene "Gene" Ashley age 94 passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his residence in Fort Worth, TX. Gene was born November 15, 1930 in Pioneer, Louisiana. A Dow Chemical retiree, he left Lake Jackson to return to Louisiana where he was active in his church, the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He served several years as a "Road Runner" providing transportation for children needing burn care at the Shriners Burn Center in Galveston, TX.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Joan Ashley; parents, Charlie and Christina Ashley; and siblings Aaron Lee Ashley, Charles Nolan Ashley and Lois Marie Ashley Haynes.

Gene is survived by his brother Dennis Levelle Ashley; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Robert and Steven Eugene; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Kilian, Nolan, Samuel, Trevor, Nicholas, Rebecca and Anthony; four great-grandchildren, Jakob, Rowan, Christopher and Cooper; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
