Gaylene Faye Allman, age 85 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday May 3rd, 2025. Gaylene was born August 2, 1939, in Longview, Washington. Her childhood was spent in Scappoose Oregan on her family's farm where she developed her lifelong love of cows. She married her first husband James Hugh in December 1960 and she traveled worldwide as a Navy Wife, finally Settling in Galveston with their two daughters. Gaylene enjoyed camping with her grandkids, Traveling overseas and in the U.S. in her camper. She enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting, and many other handicrafts. She enjoyed watching and going to baseball games and was an avid Astros fan. She loved dancing and bowling and was part of a bowling league in Alvin. There she met Bobby Martindale of Memphis Tennessee and settled with him in Alvin, TX. She had a fulfilling career with Baker Hughes where she made lifelong friends. She retired after 30+ years and was able to enjoy her retirement with her family and friends and continued traveling.

Gaylene is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Martindale; parents Manuel and Julia Buzard; brother Leroy Buzard.

Gaylene is survived by her daughters Valerie Magie and husband Cole, Cheri Vaughn and husband Nathaniel; brother Leon Buzard; grandchildren Blake, Dakota, Brandon, Freddy, and Cheyenne; greatgrandchildren Flora, Naomi, Phoebe, Nehemiah, Ryan, and Lily.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.
