Gary Lynn Rogers, age 69 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at home with his wife, his best friend. Gary was born July 21, 1955 in Houston, Texas and had been a resident of Alvin for 20 years, and was a member of Alvin United Methodist Church since 2005. Gary was a dedicated Service Drive Representative for Charlie Thomas Chevrolet, Ron Carter, and AutoNation for over 30 years, and spent his life caring for his customers.

Gary was a devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family. Gary was full of life and a charming character to his friends, family, and everyone that had the privilege and honor to know him. His smile and laughter were contagious, and he made a point, if even quietly to make everyone in a room laugh. Even in church, Gary would turn his glasses upside down and entertain the restless child in front of him. Gary's commitment to God, his family, his work, his animals, and always doing the right thing were evident in his words, actions, and the way he lived his life. Gary's love of life radiated from his being, and it will live on through his family and those that love him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Virginia Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Julie Scroggins Rogers; daughter, Dr. Katie Ranton Rogers and husband Austin Phillips; sister, JoAnn D'Antonio and husband Wiley; niece, Tiffany Farris and husband Nathan; great niece, Tessa Farris; his Rogers, Cothran, and AutoNation family; extended family and friends, and all of his beloved animals.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home.
