Frank E. Cole, age 92 of Manvel, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Frank was born October 2, 1932, at his family home in Alvin to Lonnie and Mary Ella Cole. He graduated from Alvin High School in 1952 and went to Sam Houston State University on a football scholarship. He was also part of the youth rodeo association where he participated in bull and bareback horse riding, and steer wrestling since he was 14.  He worked as a ranch hand for various ranches and farms in the area from the time he was in junior high until 1966 when he became an ironworker out of Local #135 in Texas City, Texas. He married his wife Lona in 1961, and they had their daughter, Lisa, in 1965. Frank and his family built a house and moved to Manvel in 19. He retired as an ironworker after 28 years in 1994.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Lona Cole; parents, Lonnie and Mary Ella Cole; sisters, Hilda Mueller, Mary Bates, Florence Kowis, and Elizabeth Milo; brothers, Irvin "Sonny" Cole, James "Jimmie" Cole, Albert Cole, Randall "Monk" Cole, and Edward Cole.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Lisa Brady and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Todd Brady and wife Elaine, Morgan Brady and husband Gene Chesson; great grandchildren, Orion Chesson, Lilith Chesson and Cordelia Chesson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers: Cole Moody, Dennis Moody, Jim Ed Cole, John Cole, Cody Cole, and T-Ray White.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Manvel Cemetery.

Athletics has played a pivotal part in Frank's life; he played football, softball, and ran track while attending Alvin Junior High and Alvin High School. He went on to play football at Sam Houston State University.
