Francisco Javier Guerrero known as Baja, age 79 of Alvin, Texas, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 14, 2026 surrounded by his family. Francisco was born August 15, 1946 in Mendez, Tamaulipas, Mexico. His presence brought joy and laughter that will live in many lives that he touched. Francisco enjoyed fishing, barbecues, baseball games (Astros), family time, McDonalds breakfast and traveling to Matamoros, Mexico. Francisco is preceded in death by his lovely wife Juanita Guerrero; parents Juan and Tomasa Guerrero; sister Maria Guadalupe; brothers Hermilo Guerrero, Martin Guerrero, Alfonso Guerrero, Ciro Guerrero, and Ruben Guerrero.

Francisco is survived by his daughters Araceli Maya and husband Maximino, Diana Ortuño and husband Ramiro, and Esmeralda Bentura and husband Gilbert; sons Ricardo Hernandez and wife Elizabeth, Guillermo Guerrero, and Francisco Guerrero and wife Alba; brothers Gustavo Guerrero and wife Lydia, Juan Manuel and wife Gregoria, Arturo Guerrero and wife Veronica, Orlando Guerrero and wife Juana, along with numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Ricardo Hernandez, Brandon Cancino, Diego Maya, Eliseo DelaCruz, Michael Chavira, and Gabriel Bentura. A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home. Interment to be held at Confederate Cemetery following the services.
