Felipe Gutierrez Sr., age 73 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.  Felipe was born on February 7, 1950, in Orange Grove, Texas, and was a member of the Alvin community for 43 years. Felipe enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, dancing, telling jokes, and watching his Dallas Cowboys. Felipe is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Christina Gutierrez; sister Elma Gutierrez; brothers Pablo Gutierrez Jr. and Rodolfo Gutierrez and daughter in law Tayra Grazian Gutierrez.

Felipe is survived by his wife of 54 years Guadalupe Gutierrez; daughter Debra Gutierrez McKinney and husband Lex, son Danny Gutierrez, daughter Christina Gutierrez Huerta, son Felipe Gutierrez Jr, daughter Sandra Gutierrez Ruiz and husband Chris; son Darrell Gutierrez and wife Kristin, and son Darrin Gutierrez; sisters Dora Gutierrez Rodriguez and Guadalupe Gutierrez Gonzales; and 30 grandchildren including Alyssa (Nathan) Balderaz, Jerry (Danielle) McKinney, Jeremy McKinney, Angelina McKinney, Sydney Gutierrez, Brooklyn (Dalton) Radford, Kaitlyn Gutierrez, Christopher Huerta, Christian Huerta, Colin (Kayla) Huerta, Gabriella (Eduardo) Huerta-Aguilera, Caleb Huerta, Elaine Gutierrez, Erin (Taylor) Reed, Felipe Gutierrez III, Zachary Gutierrez, Emily Gutierrez, Josh (Tiffany) Gutierrez, Kristen Ruiz, Courtney (Jacob) Barrera, Crystal Ruiz, Christopher Torres, Chessy Gutierrez, Chloe Gutierrez, Miya Gutierrez, Maddisyn Gutierrez, Darrellyn Gutierrez, Montana Moseley, Dylan Gutierrez, and Frankie Gutierrez, as well as 24 great grandchildren and two on the way.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.
