Fay Ashker Mead, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed on December 15, 2024, after being ill for quite some time, she was 69 years old.  Fay was all about family, and she adored her children and grandchildren.   Fay was born in Dearborn, Michigan on February 03, 1955, and preceded in death by her parents, Fayze Ashker and Amneh Ashker.   She is survived by her children, Karrem Kazmouz, Michael Kazmouz, and his wife Gina, and preceded in death by David Kazmouz.  Fay was married for 22 years to her loving husband, Justin Mead and called Alvin, Texas home since 2002.   As a grandmother, she was lovingly called, "Tata," which is Arabic for grandmother.   She doted on her grandchildren, Jordyn Kazmouz, Hannah Kazmouz, preceded in death by Hayden Kazmouz, Madyson Kazmouz, Abbigayle Kazmouz, and MiKayla Kazmouz, she was the grandma that would take them on trips, shopping sprees, and spoil them to no end.  Fay is survived by her siblings, Diane Letizio, Mona Collins, Mike Ashker, Linda Karas, Tammy Forsgren, and many other relatives and friends.

Fay was known for her big heart as she would always help anyone that she could and opened her home several times to those who needed it.   She loved animals, cooking, baking, gardening and creating beautiful stained-glass art.  She had quiet strength and will be missed dearly and remembered always.  The Celebration of Life is January 18, 2025, at 1pm at Michael & Gina's home.
