Faustino Barragan, Sr., age 85, of La Marque, Texas, affectionately known as Daddy, Grandpa, Don Tino, and Tio Tino, transitioned to heaven on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Webster, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Born on February 15, 1941, in Mexico, Faustino built a life defined by hard work, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family. He loved spending time with family, sitting in his favorite chair listening to "his music" on "his cassette player", watching not only cowboy movies or three stooges but he diligently kept an eye out for the weather so he could fill in every family member who had to travel AND check on them throughout the day to ensure they were safe. He also enjoyed caring, loving and spoiling his dog - Panchito, but most of all he had a date every morning with his wife to enjoy their McDonald's breakfast and you could not forget his 3 Senior coffees!

He was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents, Eustacio and Guadalupe Barragan, his sister Luz Barragan, and his beloved grandson, Charles.

Faustino leaves behind a strong legacy of love through his wife, Cristina Barragan, who stood by his side through every season of life. He is cherished and remembered by his daughters Elizabeth Leath and husband Brian, Rebecca Benavides, Julia Sherrod and husband Christopher; his son Faustino Barragan, Jr. and girlfriend Katie Stephens; and his brothers Felix Barragan and wife Francisca, Simon Barragan and wife Margarita, and Guadalupe Barragan and wife Magdalena his nephew Saul Martinez and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by his best friend " son," his dog Panchito Barragan.

He was a proud grandfather to seven cherished grandchildren: Cristina, Theresa, Bre'Donda, Faustino III, Havana, Brian, Sean, and a joyful great‑grandfather to eleven great‑grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of his spirit, his love, his strength, and his gentle humor.

Faustinos life was rich with family, stories, and the quiet kind of wisdom that comes from a life well lived. He will be remembered for not only his kindness, but his consistent and steady presence as a father figure to many. The love he poured into every generation of his family and to anyone who knew him was a reflection of God's incredible, unconditional love, which is patient, kind and enduring.

A visitation to honor his life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
