Erminia "Minnie" Olivarez, age 80 of Alvin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her Friendswood, Texas residence. Erminia was born March 7, 1942, in Monahans, Texas. She worked for Alvin ISD for 27 years and was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Benigno "Benny" Olivarez, son Robert Ybarra; Parents: Guadalupe Vasquez and Guadalupe Cruz Zapata and Stepfather Jesus "Chuy" Zapata; Sisters Angie Rodriquez; Lorenza "Lola" Perez; Brothers Cruz Vasquez and Jesus Vasquez.

Erminia is survived by her daughters Yolanda Moreno and husband Jonathon, Yvette Trevino and husband Ernest Jr., and Imelda Ybarra; Sons Mauricio Olivarez and Wife Elaine, and Ricardo Ybarra; sisters Janey Barrientos and husband Servando, Mary Vasquez and husband Jack; brothers Frank Vasquez and wife Sandra, Eddie Vasquez and wife Maria,13 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren, along with other numerous relatives and friends.

A visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 6:00pm at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. John Catholic Church. An interment at Confederate Cemetery will follow immediately after the end of the funeral mass.
