Erika Nicole Mayshika Cormier-Bocage, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 8:08 AM at Methodist West Hospital in Katy, Texas at the age of 43. She was born in New Orleans, LA on August 14, 1979 to Ronald Cormier and Wilma Baker.

Erika spent her childhood in Marrero, LA and then moved to Slidell, LA as an adult until Hurricane Katrina in 2005, when she relocated to LaPorte, Texas. She has lived in LaPorte, Alvin, Fresno, Houston and now Katy, Texas. She was preceded in death by both her maternal grandparents Wilmer Baker and Maybelle Turner and paternal grandparents Thomas and Ramona Cormier, her adopted grandparents Ferdinand and Virginia Cavalier, her Godmother Jewell Dickerson, and her first Fur baby Kylee.

Sadly, Erika lost her earthly battle after a two-week hospital admission for severe kidney blockages and Vitamin B1 deficiency. Erika gladly received God's perfect healing, as His Word promises" to be absent from the body, is to be present with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity." Hallelujah! Praise God!

She leaves to cherish her memories her only child, Noelani Alexis Mayquita Bocage, Mother- Wilma Baker, Father- Ronald Cormier (Alice), Sister- Tiffanie Cormier Jackson (Alvin), Brother Ronald Gatlin (Vickie), Nephews Dominique L. John and Terrance K. Donsereaux, Jr., beloved family childhood babysitters Katie Harris, Orinetta Cheattheam , and Angelina Cavalier, two fur babies Phoenix and Milo and her Cousin Kenneth Isidore who faithfully remained at her side throughout her many illnesses, surgeries, and hospitalizations for the last 4 years. She also leaves her dear friends Loretta Reynolds, Dr. Donna Sue Dolle, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and her church family at Faith Family Fellowship.

Family and Friends are invited to attend her Homegoing service Friday, January 13, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home 1421 E. Highway 6, Alvin, Texas

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM

Repast to follow at Faith Family Fellowship Church 1031 W. Sealy St. Alvin, TX
