Elizabeth Jean Maciukiewicz, age 78 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in Clear Lake, Texas.  Elizabeth was born November 30, 1942 in Abilene, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 15 years. Elizabeth, known by Jean to most people,  looked forward to attending any special occasion --  like birthdays and game nights; however, she was especially excited when this event pertained to her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.

Many have been blessed by her cards filled with underlines for emphasis and her pretty cursive signature at the bottom.  She loved her church, Sagemont Church, where she had developed many friendships throughout the years she was a faithful member.  One of Jean's many hidden talents was bowling. For many years her and her beloved husband spent much of their free time bowling in leagues and tournaments.  Jean loved to make everyone she knew feel important and one of the ways she did that was by wishing her family and friends a very unique happy birthday or happy anniversary on Facebook, often being the first to do so.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Mary Lester; husband Michael "Henry" Maciukiewicz; daughter Norma Jean Foller; sister Laura Epperson; two brothers Joe Lester and David Lester; nephew Joe; and niece Sonya.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Susan Garza and husband Hank, Christy Martinez and husband Armando, Valarie McCoy and husband Todd; son Michael Henry Maciukiewicz Jr. and wife Sarah; brothers James Lester and wife Carol, Ronnie Lester and wife Margie, Glyn Lester; and brother-in-law Doug Epperson; 12 grandchildren Harley, Justin, Cassie, Hank, Joey, Tori, JT, Dylan, Emily, Lucy, Saliah and Linus; 5 great-grandchildren Jaselle, Logan, Ava, Luke, Harper; and many nieces, and great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, TX.  A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 10:00 AM at Houston National Cemetery.
