Dorothy Jean McClendon, age 87 of Alvin, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at HCA Clear Lake Hospital. Dorothy was born January 3, 1935 near Huttig, Arkansas and was a resident of Alvin since 1969, when she, her husband and their children moved here. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Alvin and took great pride in taking care of her husband and family. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald McClendon; parents, James and Versa Little; brother, James Little.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Resa Allbright and husband Rodney; sons, Alan McClendon and wife Teresa, David McClendon; sister, Sherri Little; grandchildren, Ryan Allbright, Kathleen Calhoun and husband John, Kristen McClendon, Lauren McClendon, Staton McClendon; great grandchildren, Aiden Morris, Ethan Morris, Nathan Morris, Rylee Marler and Ezra Shotwell; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 28, 2022 at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, if you so choose, donations may be made to Alz.org.  Please hug your loved ones.
