Doris Rene Champion, age 80 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her residence.  Doris was born September 17, 1945 in Bessemer, Alabama and had been a resident of Alvin since 1985. She took great pride in taking care of her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Champion; daughter in law, Debra Champion; parents, Fred and Lorene White; brother, Jerry White.

Doris is survived by her sons, Mike Champion, Darren Champion (Tracy), Scott Champion (Jody); daughter, Sheila Haynes (Jeff); sisters, Mary Ray, Judy Culp and Ann Hammond; grandchildren, Nikki, Kassey, Cynthia, John, Tony, Garrett, Lara, Stephen and Justin; 12 great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
