Donato Garcia Valdez, passed in peace at his home on October 7 at 9:27am.  He was born in Wrightsboro, TX on September 26, 1940 the son of Antonio & Maria Valdez.

He was a resident of Alvin, TX for many years.  He was a great man that had a love for his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Donato and Martha met in Alvin, and married on December 27 ^th 1961. They have been married for 59 years.

Donato was a devoted husband and father.  He had worked for T & L Lease for many years as a backhoe operator.   He loved his job and coworkers.

Donato and Martha joined Majesty Church and they became faithful members and pillars of the Church. Donato was an inspiration to many and his legacy will live forever in our hearts.

Donato is preceded in death by his parents,  Antonio & Maria Valdez, and brothers and sister, Jose Valdez, Juan Valdez, Jesus Valdez, and Guadalupe Lucio.  He leaves behind his loving wife, Martha Valdez and brothers and sisters, Domingo Valdez, Taugrino "Toby" Valdez, Antonio "Tony" Valdez Jr., Gregorio " Greg" Valdez, Maria Vasquez and Anita Villanueva.  Sharing in his loss he leaves behind son's Donato & Judy Valdez Jr., Richard  & Patty Hernandez, Christopher  & Olga Valdez and daughters Catherine  & Roy Rendon, Hortensa & Jesus Ramirez, Melissa & Elvin Cosme.  Also he is leaving behind 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Majesty Church in Manvel, Texas. An interment to follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
