Donal Emmet Doyle, longtime resident of Alvin passed away on Tuesday January 26, 2022. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal". Donal died peacefully with his beloved Wife of 61 years, Anne by his side. He bravely fought a battle with Parkinsons and Leukemia for many years.

Donal was born in Dublin, Ireland on April 18, 1936 to father Capt. James P Doyle and mother Patricia Curran Doyle. He was the 3rd of 7 athletic, fun-loving sons. He emigrated to Canada in 1967 with Wife Anne and 4 children. Afterwards moving to Upstate NY where he was blessed with 2 more children, bringing the total to 6. Working as a construction electrician took him to many interesting places in the US and Canada.

Those who knew Donal, remember a charismatic handsome man, with an infectious smile and twinkling blue eyes. He could give you a wink, a smile, a witty joke with his Irish accent and all was ok with the world. No matter what the struggle, he had a way of making the best of it. He was a hard-working man. He never took no for an answer, not from others, but from himself. He did whatever it took to provide for his family. He was a devout Catholic, attending St John the Baptist Church in Alvin.

Donal was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers Michael, Peter, Phillip and John. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne; Children James P Doyle(Vicki), Patricia M Ollre(Dannie), Donal E Doyle(Merarie), Anne Marie Lynn, Joseph Doyle(Stephanie), Jeaneen Rustin(Walter) 16 Grandchildren, 15 Greatgrandchildren and growing. All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly. His presence in our daily lives will be sorely missed.

A visitation is planned for 5:00-7:00PM Friday February 4, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home, Alvin, Tx. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM Saturday February 5, 2022 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Alvin, Tx. Interment will be held 10:00AM Monday February 7, 2022 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, Tx.
