Diama Ann Conn, age 40, of Alvin, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 27, 1985, in Houston, Diama was a lifelong resident of Alvin and a proud graduate of Alvin High School. Diama earned her Master's Degree in Education from University of Houston–Clear Lake and dedicated her career to serving students and families in the community she loved. She taught in Alvin Independent School District for 18 years before continuing her passion for education as a librarian for Danbury Independent School District.

A woman of strong Christian faith, Diama found great joy in supporting her children at stock shows and baseball games and treasured every moment spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to others, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of her students, colleagues, and loved ones.

Diama is survived by her loving husband, Chris Conn; daughter, Colleen Conn (10); and son, Case Conn (5). She is also survived by her parents, Dante and Cynthia Martinez; brothers, Dante Martinez (Mary) and Manuel Martinez (Megan); nephews, Dylan Martinez (Mykayla), Trey Carsner, and Parker Conn; nieces, Alyssa Carsner, Madison Martinez, Mavery Martinez, and Peyton Conn; great-nephew, Luke Martinez; and grandmother, Consuelo Ybarra.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alvin Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the church, with interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery. A luncheon in honor of Diama will be served following the cemetery service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diama's memory to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation and The Brazoria County Library System Foundation.

In accordance with Diama's wishes, the family kindly asks attendees to avoid wearing black to the services.
