Debra L. Champion, age 73 of Liverpool, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at her residence.  Debra was born April 4, 1952 in Selma, Alabama and had been a resident of Liverpool since 1989. She took great pride in taking care of her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Debra proudly served her country in the United States Army and was very proud of her service. She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Laughlin; mother, Juanita Holland.

Debra is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mike Champion; daughters, Kassandra Cook and husband Ryan, Nikki Kelley; sister, Robin Joy; grandchildren, Ariel Champion, Gavin Tate, Riley Champion, Quintion Winterberg and Kimber Cook.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, September 22, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
