David Allen King, Sr., a cherished member of the Alvin, Texas community, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the age of 64. David was born on March 3, 1960, in Camden, New Jersey, and made Alvin his home for twenty-two notable years.

David will be lovingly remembered not just for his personable kind nature, but also for his incredible enthusiasm for motorcross and bowling. From the lanes to the tracks, David's passions not only served as thrilling pastimes, but also as the fountainhead of many enduring friendships that enriched his vibrant life.

Professionally, David was a dedicated employee of W & B for 12 years. The bonds he fostered during his employment with many of his colleagues became his good friends, a testament to David's friendly and welcoming personality.

David Alan King Sr. leaves behind an impactful legacy of 64 extraordinary years. As family and friends mourn his passing, the memories that he helped create will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him and leave behind his indelible smiles in our hearts.

David is proceeded in death by his parents Alfred L Cortez and Victoria Cortez, also his birth parents Beatrice King and Buddy King, Sr.

David is survived in love by his daughters Noelia Zuniga, Riley King and son David King Jr and his son's wife Kristin. Sisters Dolores Morroni, Vera Jimenez, Deborah Cortez, Darlene McDavid, Lisa Hudgins and Debra Kellenberger and brother Robert King and grandson Landen Findley.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5:00pm-8:00pm with Rosary at 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 10:00am. Visitation and Services will be located at Scott Funeral Home, 1421 E Highway 6, Alvin, TX 77511.

David's life journey has come to an end, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.
