Daniel Moody Winzenried, born March 2, 1928 in Garwood to Warren Winzenried, Sr and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Marie Wolter Winzenried. He was a resident of Alvin, TX for over 50 years.   He served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II as a Heavy 931 Truck Driver and was a Master Sargent and received a Victory Medal for his service.  He was united in marriage to Pauline Nelson Winzenried April 1953 and she preceded him in death in 2019

He is survived by son Gary Winzenried and wife Sarah, son, Darryl Winzenried, daughter, Brenda McLeod, Brother-in-law, Lloyd Nelson, Neighbors Todd & Cindy Harms.

Grandchildren, Jason, Jordan, Brittany, Stephen, Christopher, and Stacy. 8 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Andrew Nelson and Nettie Nelson. Brothers, John Winzenried, Charles Winzenried, Donald Winzenried; Warren Winzenried, sisters, Charlotte Moore, Beulah Herring, Elnora Winzenried, Lucielle Ash, Carolyn Ashworth.

A graveside service will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2023 at Swedish Lutheran Cemetery in El Campo, Texas.
