Cynthia Ann Bayliss, a devoted wife of nearly 50 years to John Bayliss and loving mother to her 2 children Bridget and Jonathan Bayliss and a grandmother to Brooklyn sadly left our world peacefully in her sleep on the morning of September 8th, 2026 at the age of 72.

A native Texan, Cynthia was born in Houston, raised in Pearland, and later raised her own children in Alvin. She served her community as a librarian for 10 years, bringing her special gift of personality and warmth to readers of all ages and sharing her enjoyment of literature as she had an undying love for books.

Those who knew Cynthia would say she had a special place in her heart for animals, both her own and those found in nature. With her magical green thumb, she transformed her home into a beautiful garden for her family and friends to enjoy. She also had a love for sewing and quilting alongside her friends, not only for pleasure but also for the joy of creating items to donate to those less fortunate.

In her later years, Cynthia led a quiet life with her husband, enjoying each other's company and companionship in their Alvin home. She was a private person at heart, but she gave her all to those with whom she shared her life.

Cynthia will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of her life will be held privately amongst her family and close friends by invitation only.
