Cora was born to Wilbur & Margaret DeYoung on July 21, 1938 in Kalamazoo, MI.  She married Marvin Ihnen on December 26, 1955 in Castlewood, SD.

She is survived by her children Cindy Ihnen, Phil (Debbie) Ihnen & Dulcy Kay (Robert) Mank. Grandchildren – Elizabeth (Orion) Looney, Sarah (Robert) Quade, Joshua (Sierra) Ihnen and Justin (Taylor) Ihnen. Great-grandchildren – Cora & Zeah Looney, Kolten Quade, Emelia Ihnen and Magnus Ihnen. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Marvin of 64 years, her parents, sister, Winifred Weyhe and son, Scott Ihnen.

Cora was an active member of Skyview Baptist Church where she taught a weekly Ladies Bible Study.  Her passions included quilting/sewing, reading & painting.

Funeral arrangements for Cora will be handled by Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Skyview Baptist Church, 770 N Shirley St. Alvin, Tx @ 2 PM.

Burial will be at the Houston National Cemetery.
