Claire Marguerite Wilson "Granny", 93 of Alvin, Texas took Jesus and Mother Mary's hands and entered into heaven on October 13, 2025. Born on August 25,1932, in Cambridge, MA, Claire lived a long and spirited life defined by her faith, humor, and deep love for her family and community.

The beloved daughter of the late Albert and Alice Belanger, Claire grew up in a Catholic French-Canadian home with a strong sense of faith and family that guided her throughout her life. She is survived by her sister Jaqueline Rozycki and is preceded in death by her brother Charles Belanger.

Claire grew up in Carlisle, MA where she spent joyful days playing with her numerous cousins, picking apples and visiting neighbors. She attended high school at The Academy of the Presentation of Mary, a French convent in New Hampshire, where she grew her devotion to the Lord and Mary. There she learned the value of perseverance, a lesson she carried proudly into adulthood.

Shortly after high school, she joined her two cousins in a close harmony trio, The Belle-aires, and performed in various dinner clubs and other venues. But she soon left the group after meeting a young Catholic lieutenant in the Navy, Tom Wilson, on a blind date when he was docked in Boston. The two corresponded for four years and finally married on June 17, 1955.

Claire was a steadfast woman who faced life's challenges with remarkable grace. She worked hard as a bookkeeper to help Tom through dental school while becoming a young mother to several children. She would eventually give birth to twelve children whom she adored. But sadly as a young mother, tragedy would take her husband and two of her children. Her favorite saying, "I gave it up to God. Let it be His problem now." reflected the deep faith that guided her through every hardship and joy.

Those who knew her would say, she never met a stranger. Claire's kindness and curiosity drew people in, and she loved hearing their stories. She hosted several exchange students and high schoolers often used her home as a hangout for fun. She was truly the neighborhood "Koolaide Mom".

Claire adored traveling—especially to Ireland, where she felt a special connection. Always ready for adventure, she enjoyed trying new foods and recipes, yet nothing ever quite replaced her favorite comfort dishes: Boston baked beans, milk and cookies.

Claire leaves behind a legacy of faith, generosity, and resilience. She taught those around her to meet life with courage and compassion, trusting always in God's plan.

Claire is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wilson, children Colette and Ethan Wilson and great granddaughter, Margo Strother. She is survived by children Marguerite Bagwell (Curtis), Tom Wilson, Jr. (De'Lea), Patrick Wilson (Lynnette), Barry Wilson (Kristin), Alice Dement, Darryl Wilson (Sandra), Raymond Wilson (Laurie), Estelle McCormack (Gary), Wyatt Wilson (Riina), Claudette Asuncion (Cyril), 30 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two more on the way.

Visitation for Claire is on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin. Claire's sons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will take place immediately following the service at South Park Cemetery - Resurrection in Pearland. Reception to follow at St. John's church hall.
