Charles Edward Williams, age 96 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home. Charles was born July 25, 1927 in Anniston, Alabama, and was a longtime resident of Alvin. He proudly served his country in during WWII in the United States Army. Charles worked as a machinist and retired from BP Amoco at Chocolate Bayou as supervisor in the maintenance department. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessabell "Jessie" Williams; grandson, Dustin Reed; sons-in-law, Warren Reed and Ronnie McGary; and his mother, Fairy Mae McNeal Palmore.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Sandra McGary and Candy Reed; grandchildren, Darenda Klentzman, Jon Klentzman, Kristen Reed Moore, Suzanne Permenter and husband Jonathan; great grandchildren, Charles "Charlie" Moore, Madison Permenter, Mackenzie Permenter and Megan Permenter; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
