Carolyn Shipman, age 72 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023.  Carolyn was born on April 18, 1950 in Galveston, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin.   She was a homemaker and Episcopal by faith.  Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Bill Dann.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Shipman, daughter, Eartha Courtright, sons, John Courtright, Joseph and Jeffrey, brother, Charles Dann, 4 grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Lesly, Trinity, 2 great-grandchildren, Aurora and Beaux, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM  at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
