Carolyn Ann (Dickey) Craig went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2023, at the age of 84.

Carolyn, the oldest of 4 children, was born on September 13, 1938, in McAllen Tx to Chester Dickey of San Antonio, TX, and Inez Dickey of Wichita Falls, TX,

She married Thomas Edward Craig on October 30, 1958, in Harlingen, TX. They moved to Corpus Christi, TX, where she gave birth to two children, Matthew Scott (Matt) and Camille Denise (Cammy). Shortly after Cammy was born, they moved to San Antonio, TX, where she gave birth to Kimberly Deanna (Kim).

In addition to being a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carolyn worked various part time jobs in San Antonio, TX to help support the family. In 1969 the family moved to Uvalde, TX where Carolyn began her career with Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator. She eventually moved over to the drafting department at Southwestern Bell, transferring her position as the family moved from various places until 1989, when she moved to Pagosa Springs, CO to assist her husband with his Chiropractic practice. In 2003 and due to her health issues, they moved back to Texas and lived in Spring, where they stayed until 2018 when they made their final move to Alvin.

Carolyn was a member of the Adoue Street church of Christ here in Alvin. However, Carolyn had been a member of various other local congregations in and around the Houston area, including The Woodlands church of Christ in The Woodlands, and Southside church of Christ in Pasadena. She was a very active member and servant. She was also active in instilling that same servant spirit in her children. She loved to sing and was well known for her beautiful tenor voice. Carolyn loved to do all sorts of crafts. She made flower arrangements, gift baskets, and most recently started painting and decorating bird houses. She was always busy serving her family, serving others, or working on some project. Always ensuring her hands were never idle.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Chester, and Inez, and 2 of her siblings, Charles Dickey and Chester Dickey Jr. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Craig, her son Matthew Scott Craig and Matt's wife Renee, her daughters Camille Denise Guggisberg and Cammy's husband Mike, Kimberly Deanna Roden and Kim's husband James, her sister Debra Yaure and Debbie's husband Chris. Carolyn is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 3:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
