Carol Jeanene Kraft (Cox)

December 16, 1964 – January 18, 2025

Jeanene Kraft, age 60, passed away on January 18, 2025. She was a beloved daughter, wife, and mother who will be deeply missed by all who know her.

Jeanene was born on December 16, 1964, in Baytown, TX. She spent her formative years in Alvin and graduated from Alvin High School. Later, she graduated from Alvin Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts. Jeanene and her family moved to the Austin area where she retired from Austin Telco Credit Union as an Assistant Branch Manager in Taylor.

Jeanene was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her family and two cow dogs, Nolan and Nellie. Her passion, as it turned out, was making pottery. She loved to experiment with different colors and just let her hands carve away at bowls and coffee mugs.

Before pottery, Jeanene got hooked on running. She and her friend set out to run a half marathon (1301 mi) in each of the 50 states. I'm here to tell you, she only had 46 remaining.

Jeanene is survived by her mother, Vera J. Cox, her husband, John T. Kraft, and her son, Jason W. Kraft. Jeanene was preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Winston Cox Jr. and her father, Carroll Winston Cox Sr.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin, Texas with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow in the City of Alvin Oak Park Cemetery.
