Brenda K. Johnson, age 74, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023. Brenda was born in Sherman, Texas on March 5, 1949. In her younger years she also lived in College Station, Texas. Her father spent his career in the Air Force and the family moved to Houston, Texas in June of 1959. Brenda graduated from South Houston High School in June of 1967 and also worked at K-Mart during some of that time. Brenda met Bill Johnson in the summer of 1967 and they were united in marriage in June of 1969 and were married for 54 years. During there time together Brenda worked at Powell Industries for 32 years.

Brenda is survived by her husband Bill; an estranged daughter, Raechel Bartholomew and her family; daughter, Laura Erickson and husband Bror and his son, John; sister, Bennetta Schmidt; cousins, Sandra and Paula.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Wanda Schmidt; brother, J.R. Schmidt.

Joyous is the celebration in Heaven when one so loved comes home

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home.
