Bobby Lloyd Armstrong, age 88 of Alvin, Texas passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home. Bobby was born July 9, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for the last 1 ½ years, formerly a 30-year resident of Fort Worth, Texas.

He proudly served for 8 years in the Texas National Guard.  He received a Bachelors in Science as a Geologist from Midwestern University and Masters in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University.  He was a Hydrologist in River Forecasting with the National Weather Service (NOAA) for 30 years.  He and his wife, Sue Black Armstrong were members of Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Bobby is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Blake; Son, Robert Armstrong Jr.; parents, William and Birtie Lea Armstrong; son-in-law, Bruce Johnson; brother, Gary Armstrong.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sue Armstrong; daughter, Katherine Johnson; grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson, Rachel Johnson and Liam Armstrong; great grandchildren, Kali Johnson and Walker Johnson; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 24, 2026 at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
