Bethany Payne Pierce passed away peacefully in her home on June 13, 2026. She was 94. Bethany was born January 24, 1932 in Evangeline, Louisiana. She married Clarence Pierce in 1948 at age 16 and moved to Alvin the next day. She had four children; Debbie, Davida, Danny and Dale.

She lived a long full life, witnessed and experienced world changes from horse  drawn ice cream wagons to a man walking on the moon. She watched "Gone With The Wind" in the theater, she experienced World War 2, she watched "I Love Lucy" in real time, she saw Lee Harvey Oswald get shot on "Live" TV, Pearl Harbor, Emmett Till, Elvis, Secretariat, The Challenger Explosion, 911/The Twin Towers, Covid, The World Wide Web. She has seen it all, In Real Time.  Not only did she see and experience the digital and information age, she participated in it.  She went back to school and in 1969 went to work for Texas Instruments as a semiconductor failure analyst and retired after 25 years.

She has lived in the same homestead in the Historic District of Alvin for 61 years. Yes, she has lived and seen more than probably anyone you know...What a Life Indeed She has Lived! All in Real Time!.. None of her family have ever mastered her southern Louisiana gumbo or her southern Louisiana pralines...but we will keep trying, As she smiles from the Heavenly Realms :)

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. A graveside will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2026, at Oak Park Cemetery
