Barry K. Bruce of Alvin, TX transitioned peacefully into eternity on Tuesday, July 2 following a brief battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Bruce and his parents, Roy and Melba Bruce. He is survived by three sisters; Allison Kathleen Davis of Lake Jackson, TX; Judith Buffington of Spring Hill, FL; Beverly G. Siddens of Pantego, TX; Numerous extended family members; special friends, Jerry and Carol Dunigan.

Barry spent his entire life in Brazoria County. He graduated Angleton High School after which he spent time in the Army. Upon discharge, he was employed for many years by Brazoria County Road and Bridge. He retired from Houston Intercontinental Airport.

Barry had a lifelong passion for all things regarding airplanes and flying. His greatest pleasure was in flying his ultralight aircraft over Brazoria County.

A memorial Service will be held on July 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home. The family extends profound gratitude to Vitas Hospice Care.
